The Fool is the first card of the Major Arcana in the tarot deck and represents the beginning of our life’s journey where we step out and the whole world and possibilities are in front of us. It is about a voyage of discovery and what we will learn about ourselves. The fool is about new beginnings, fresh starts where everything is possible.
What I was aware of was that though it felt the world was getting darker and that the sun had gone, it was still there. The sun hadn't changed, the sun hadn't diminished, it was just that it was temporarily obscured. So the moon had passed in front of it and hidden it from my sight. And it made me think of ways in which I get hidden - from both others and from myself. That who I truly am is in fact always there but I can loose sight of my true self and what is seen is something less, something dimmed, merely a facade. So it's not a matter of me needing to "improve" myself or constantly get somewhere else, but more a case of removing what is creating illusion, what is stopping what already exists from shining forth.
So today I'm asking myself, and inviting you to ask yourself - who and what is stopping my true self from being ever present? What is blocking you from shining forth in all your brilliance, from expressing all of who you truly are in each and every moment?
