Conscious awareness of difficult emotions can assist in transforming them so that they dissolve and cease to negatively impact on our behaviours and reactions.

When you experience "negative" emotions - and by that I mean fear, anger, shame, judgement - have you noticed that you feel powerless? That it sucks the life out of you? You shrink into yourself. You start to function on automatic pilot, shut down, disconnect.
At this point, not only are you suffering by experiencing your feelings but you become easily manipulated - whatever it takes to make you feel better. You revert to your default setting of survival mode, staying safe. The fear that you feel also emanates from you and can be felt by others and affects everything around you, like a ripple effect.
So what is the answer?
However, denying what is occurring does not make it go away. It simply pushes it under, hides it. And you become vulnerable. It is your Achilles' heel that will influence all that occurs in your life. You will be living from a place contaminated by fear, a place of contraction, smallness and restriction. Instead of being centred and in control of your own life and being able to operate from a place of freedom and choice, it's going to be like a malignant virus lurking in the background and affecting all you do.
Yet the simple action of being aware, mindfulness, acknowledging that there is something occurring which you do not like, starts the process of bringing it into the light. The energy starts to dissipate. It loosens its hold on you. How do you then deal with it? In whatever way works for you. It may be that the act of acknowledging it is sufficient, you can talk to yourself and the emotion will start to dissolve. Or maybe you share it with someone close, someone you trust, expressing what is going on for you. Emotional Connection is another tool - by lovingly and gently holding your emotion and allowing it to simply be, without trying to make it go away, allows it to change. Nothing can ever stay the same.
Everything is energy. So once something comes to your conscious awareness it automatically changes in some way. It is possible for low energy emotions to change, to transmute. The thoughts in your head, the feelings in your body can all shift.
You are a transformer of energy, an alchemist, a magician. The power lies in your hands. Your healing lies within.
We have become so used to patterns of fear, anger, shame, despair that we become accepting of their grip on us. But they do not belong to your true self, who you truly are.
Low energy emotions block your power and ability to enjoy life and flow freely. Each time you become aware and commit to change a shift occurs - not only in you but in the world around you. Your thoughts and feelings and life have a ripple effect and each moment of change in you not only brings more joy and power and freedom to your life but to the entire planet.
